Banking relationship between Iran and Russia is being developed-CBI governor
Moscow, July 21st, 2025-Speaking in a meeting held in Mir Business Bank head office in Moscow, Central bank of Iran (CBI) Governor, Dr. Mohammed Reza Farzin, urged the importance of boosting the banking relationship between Iran and Russia.
In a meeting with the delegates and VIP clients of Mir Business Bank, and the representatives of some reputable Russian banks, Farzin stated that during the 12-day conflict imposed by Israeli and U.S. aggression, the country's banking network remained stable despite the attempts by the enemy to incite panic so as to alter the economic behavior of the public.
The CBI chief, expressed gratitude to Mir Business Bank for playing a key role in the banking relationship between the two countries and reiterated that CBI is trying to facilitate the presence of Russian banks in the territory of Islamic Republic of Iran.
Mohammad Hazzar, the general director of Mir Business Bank, thanked for the assistance of CBI in Receiving the licenses to open a branch of JCS MB Bank as the first Russian bank in Iran and expressed hope that by the end of 2025 this new branch will provide its banking services.
Further, the representatives of Russian banks and some of the clients of MB bank and members of Mir Business Club asked some questions and received answers in connection with facilitating trade operations between two countries.
