MOSCOW, June 17, 2026 — A prestigious Iranian delegation, led by the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), Dr. Abdolnaser Hemmati, conducted an official visit to Mir Business Bank today. The high-profile meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, Dr. Kazem Jalali, underscoring the deep strategic importance of the financial institution in bilateral relations.
During the visit, Ambassador Jalali expressed his gratitude to the senior management of Mir Business Bank for their continuous development and pivotal role in facilitating trade between Iran and Russia. He highly praised the efforts of the banking group and reiterated that the ongoing support from the Central Bank of Iran and Bank Melli Iran (BMI) remains a cornerstone for the sustained success of the Mir Business Banking Group. Following these remarks, Mohammad Hazzar, the General Director of the banking group presented a comprehensive performance report, expressing sincere appreciation for the guidance and backing received from both the CBI and BMI.
Dr. Hemmati emphasized the urgent need to expand the bank's operational capacity, highlighting its crucial role in developing the North-South International Transport Corridor. The CBI Governor stated that strengthening trade ties between the two nations is vital, with a specific focus on boosting Iranian exports to the Russian Federation. To accelerate this economic integration, Dr. Hemmati hailed the upcoming opening of a Mir Business Bank branch in Tehran as a landmark step forward for both financial systems.
